I'm a mom of 5 wonderful children ranging in ages from 8-21.  I've had a wide range of personal birth experiences from a c-section, to a natural hospital birth, to a home waterbirth.  I trained as a doula through CAPPA  in December 2008 and have been professionally attending births since January of 2009.  I attended the ToLabor doula training in April of 2011.   I attended the Dancing for Birth training workshop in St. Louis, MO in May of 2009.    I took placenta encapsulation training with Placenta Benefits November 2009.  I am certified in Neonatal Resuscitation.   I completed the BirthWorks Childbirth Educator training in June 2010.  I completed the BrioBirth Childbirth Education training in March 2011.  I also work closely with ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) and especially love working with women to experience a VBAC.

My job is to assist laboring women, not to judge them!
I am happy to work with women in both hospital and home birth settings.  I truly believe in a womens' right to choose the birth they want.  My focus and passion is helping women experience homebirth and VBAC.  I also work with mothers that are having a planned cesarean. 

I live in Schiller Park, IL .   I teach a variety of classes at various locations. Starting March 1, I will also be offering classes and other services in the Old Irving Park neighborhood in Chicago.
